Bull Creek Poem

"Look what I found!" a girl proudly exclaims,

while far from the ground her little treasure hangs.

A slender long tail pinched- no chance at escape

the poor lizard flails ,

       its ' silent mouth agape.

Put it down sweetheart , here , give it to Me

I'll return it to nature

I'll make sure that it's free

You needn't pick up all the things which you find ,

sometimes collecting can be rather unkind .

All you have to take with you are the memories you see !

We'll all be much happier if you let nature be.
